The Super Calender is a precision surface finishing device specifically designed for the laboratory environment, suitable for calendering and embossing of flat sheet specimens. It features a metal heated top roll paired with a rubber bottom roll (hardness 89), with an effective working width of 800 mm. The linear pressure ranges from 1 to 300 KN/m, supplied by a stable hydraulic power unit, while the top roll is electrically heated with a temperature range from ambient to 150°C and a heating power of 5 kW. The equipment is equipped with an air shaft unwind station and a magnetic powder clutch tension control system, with all parameters—speed, temperature, and pressure—set via a PLC touchscreen for precise and convenient operation. It can significantly improve the smoothness, gloss, and density of paper surfaces in a short time, and the rolls can be changed for embossing applications. It is widely used in laboratory research and quality control in pulp and papermaking, packaging materials, specialty papers, and composite materials, making it an indispensable professional instrument for enhancing paper surface properties.
