Product Introduction
The tissue lint tester operates on a mechanical reciprocating motion principle. A tissue specimen of specified dimensions is fixed on the test platform, and the servo motor-driven mechanism oscillates it at a set frequency and distance to simulate the repeated friction and shaking of tissue during use. After testing, the linting rate is calculated by weighing the specimen before and after the test (or by collecting and weighing the fallen lint). The instrument has a touchscreen control system to set the oscillation frequency (60-180 r/min) and test cycles (2-999,999) precisely, with a built-in thermal printer for direct output of test results.

FAQ
1. How is the linting rate calculated and expressed?
The linting rate is typically calculated by the mass change of the specimen before and after testing. The formula is: Linting rate (%) = (Mass before test - Mass after test) / Mass before test × 100%. Alternatively, the fallen lint can be collected and weighed directly. Refer to GB/T 20810-2018 for detailed calculation methods.
2. What is an appropriate number of test cycles to set?
The number of test cycles is set according to product standards and testing requirements. GB/T 20810-2018 specifies specific cycle requirements. Users can flexibly set the count from 2 to 999,999 times to simulate varying degrees of usage wear.
3. Are the oscillation frequency and distance adjustable?
The oscillation distance is fixed at 100±5 mm per standard specifications. The reciprocating frequency is settable from 60-180 r/min, with the standard specification being 180±10 cycles/min. Users can adjust according to actual testing needs.
4. What are the requirements for specimen size and preparation?
Specimen size and preparation should follow GB/T 20810-2018. Typically, tissue specimens of specified dimensions are cut and conditioned under standard temperature and humidity before testing.

5. How is the printer used, and how are consumables replaced?
The built-in thermal micro-printer is operated via the touchscreen to print test reports after completion. Thermal paper rolls are universally available consumables, easy to replace. We supply compatible thermal paper rolls on an ongoing basis.
6. Does the equipment require regular maintenance?
Keep the equipment clean and periodically check that the oscillating mechanism is secure. The servo motor and transmission mechanism are lubricated at the factory and generally do not require frequent re-oiling. If abnormal operation is observed, contact our after-sales service for inspection.

The linting tendency of tissue paper is a critical quality indicator directly affecting user experience and consumer satisfaction. Linting refers to the shedding of fine fibers or filler particles from tissue paper due to friction and shaking during use. Severe linting not only affects user comfort but may also cause hygiene concerns. GB/T 20810-2018 (Tissue paper, including tissue base paper) clearly defines the test method and limit values for tissue linting, making it a mandatory test item for factory inspection and type testing of tissue products. The lint tester quantitatively evaluates product surface strength by simulating the repeated friction process that tissue undergoes during actual use. It is widely used in quality control at tissue paper manufacturing plants, supervisory inspection at quality agencies, and new product development at research institutions. It is an essential testing device for ensuring tissue paper product quality and enhancing consumer experience.
